Privacy Policy

The short version: BabyEats collects no data. None. Everything you log stays in a file on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no tracking — so there is nothing for this policy to excuse.

Effective date: June 12, 2026 · Applies to: BabyEats – First Foods & Allergen Tracker (iOS)

1 · Data we collect

None.

BabyEats is a local-only app. Everything you enter — the foods and tastes you log, reaction entries with their symptoms and notes, custom foods you add, your baby profiles with their optional names and dates of birth, and your settings — is stored in a file on your device, inside the app's own storage container (shared only with the app's own widgets on the same device). We have no server, so none of it is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your data; nobody can, unless they are holding your unlocked phone.

Accordingly, the app's App Store privacy nutrition label is “Data Not Collected.”

2 · No analytics, no tracking, no third parties

  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • No advertising, no ad identifiers, no fingerprinting.
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind — the app is built exclusively on Apple's own frameworks.
  • No accounts, no email collection, no newsletters.
  • The app makes no network requests of its own.

3 · Purchases

The optional one-time purchase, BabyEats Pro, is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Apple handles payment, receipts, Family Sharing, refunds, and Ask to Buy under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID — the app only learns, on-device, whether Pro is unlocked.

4 · Notifications

All notifications (the free daily testing reminder and the optional Pro per-food reminders) and the Pro Reaction Watch Live Activity are local: scheduled, stored, and delivered on your device by iOS. There is no push-notification server and no remote push. Notification content is generated on-device from your own log.

5 · Exports and sharing

When you export your food log (text summary, CSV, JSON backup, or the Pro PDF pediatrician report), the file is generated on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it — to your pediatrician, your notes, your own files. The app never uploads exports anywhere.

6 · Children's privacy

BabyEats is an app for parents and caregivers, not for children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it also collects no data about your child — the information you log about your baby exists only on your own device, under your control. Deleting the app deletes it.

7 · Data retention and deletion

You hold the only copy. Your log persists on your device until you delete entries in the app or delete the app itself. We retain nothing because we receive nothing. We recommend using the free JSON backup export if you want your own archive.

8 · Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes this picture — for example an optional, explicitly opt-in iCloud backup of your own data to your own iCloud account — this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the effective date above revised. The standing commitment does not change: no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no selling or sharing of data, ever.
